As the café on the other end of the street was full, we decided to sit down at the Museum Cafe despite not going into the museum itself. This can be considered a very good decision. I feared that I wouldn't be able to eat anything because I am vegan, but I was very pleasantly surprised to read on the menu there was a vegan cake option. While my travel companions had a big portion of Schwarzwalder Kirchtorte and a generous slice of marzipan cake, I had a chocolate & pear cake. While I was happy to have an option, the slice I had was about half the size of the other cakes. Seeing that made me slightly disappointed, but it was filling because it was denser than the other cakes and left me very satisfied anyway. The vegan cake is a changing selection, so you might not get the same one as I had! The prices were reasonable, especially for such a touristic spot. So for a nice piece of cake on a comfortable spot, I can highly recommend you sit down here!
